Abstract
The CHIP-COVID-19 project, coordinated by Ziad Mallat (Paris Cardiovascular Research Center / European Hospital Georges-Pompidou), focuses on the study of the role of clonal hematopoiesis as a factor of susceptibility to infection by COVID-19 . Many people have abnormal blood cells in their bodies due to random genetic changes that occur over time. These cells react abnormally to inflammation, which leads to many diseases. Researchers want to test whether these cells are responsible for serious COVID-19 disease.
