Abstract

The SPILLBACK project coordinated by Eric Leroy (Research Institute for Development - Montpellier) will study the risk of introduction and endemization of SARS-CoV-2, directly or through domestic animals, in the animal fauna of tropical forests. wetlands of the Republic of Congo. He will pay particular attention to the emergence of viral variants resulting from multiple interspecific transmissions of SARS-CoV-2 or from genetic recombination with circulating coronaviruses.
