Abstract

Our recent work shows blood clotting happens in patients with severe COVID-19 infection leading to more deaths. Patients with higher levels of blood clotting were also more likely to require ICU admission. We want to understand why these micro-clots are being formed in the lungs so that more effective treatments for patients with severe COVID-19 can be developed
