Abstract
Social Determinants of Health. The Foundation's Health Data for Action initiative is a program aimed at identifying actionable insights from hard-to-access health data to build the evidence base for a Culture of Health.Under this grant project, the grantee will participate in an open, distributed COVID-19 research project along with other data providers and collaborators. The initial goals will be to work with the group to jointly define core data elements, ideally mapped to at least one open-data model (such as OMOP, PCORnet, i2b2, FHIR), and a process or processes by which these data elements can be queried for jointly developed research questions. The grantee will respond to data queries to validate the data-submission process. The grantee will authorize at least one de-identified, public-use file, which will be validated by participants and then made available to the public. The grantee will also contribute to a data-use-agreement process that will standardize researcher access to the datasets, while retaining local control over access decisions.
