Abstract

The project will examine the effect of COVID-19 on pregnant women, women in labour and their newborns partly by already collected samples from first trimester, and samples we collect the next three months from second trimester and labour. We will examine if vertical transmission from mother to child happens in utero and if genetics is determine who gets infected and the severity. The project will provide the foundation for evidence based counselling for pregnant women.
