Abstract

The aim of the project is to develop a simple and cheap test for the immediate and accurate detection of the development of an illness in patients suspected of having a virus infection - a point- of-care test to provide an early prediction before hospitalisation. The test is based on the combination of a blood cell count and the detection of nanoparticles in saliva - to be developed on the basis of existing prototype apparatus.
