Abstract
This project aims to develop sensors that detect the SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID-19) and it builds on an existing project on direct detection of bacteria. These nanoscale sensors change their near infrared fluorescence signatures when viral motifs such as RNA or the spike protein bind. The insights could pave the way for next generation, fast and reliable corona virus diagnostics.
