Abstract

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic greater than200 vaccine candidates are in active development and greater than20 in clinical trials. While we hope that these 'first generation' vaccines will be safe and effective, there are sure to be challenges in deploying these vaccines to all parts of the globe, including Australia, in a timely manner. Accordingly, we have developed two vaccine candidates with significant novelty, tempered by realistic deployment imperatives, to be deployed in this global emergency.
