Abstract
The CORONET project aims to determine whether increased neutrophil extracellular traps (NET) biomarkers predict oxygen requirement in symptomatic outpatients newly diagnosed with Covid-19, to determine whether the decrease in DNase activity correlates with increase in NET biomarkers and respiratory failure, and finally to study the mechanisms responsible for the decrease in DNase activity. This project may pave the way for new therapeutic perspectives to reduce NETs, in particular the administration of exogenous DNase.
