Abstract

In this subproject, the chemical and polymer chemical work as well as the formulation of the polymers for the production of the virus-binding particles will be carried out. The aim is to prepare polymers with reactive end groups to which short ACE2 receptor peptides (produced in AS1) are coupled. By varying the coupling chemistry and the conditions for formulating the polymer-peptide conjugates into nanoparticles and microparticles, optimized particles for binding SARS-CoV-2 viruses will be obtained. The subproject is thus integrated into the main focus 2 (AS2) of the joint project. However, in close collaboration with the cooperation partners, supporting work will also be carried out in AS3 and AS5.
