Abstract

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, prevention and (long-term) care now often have to be provided remotely: image care, apps for self-monitoring and detection of infections, virtual visits, etc. Care consultation (MDO) also took place virtually. What is new is that e-health replaced direct interaction and was not just a supplement. This research uses this 'natural experiment' to learn how this technology can be deployed in an ethically and legally responsible manner during and after the corona crisis, building on previous work on 'remote care' and linking up with ongoing projects.
