Abstract

The aim of the project is to empirically assess the costs and benefits of school closures enacted in response to the spread of COVID-19. Benefits are measured by the lives saved by the interventions. The considered costs result from learning gaps suffered by children of different socio-economic groups (paying special attention to vulnerable children) and the implications for educational inequality.
