Abstract
Economic recovery policies after COVID-19 could either foster low carbon investments or lead to massive lock-ins by investments into carbon-intensive coal, which are often believed to stimulate economic growth. The project will investigate the current investment dynamics in key coal investing countries and aims to better understand how governments could be supported to use stimulus packages to accelerate the transition to low-carbon economy based on clean energy technologies instead of fossil fuels.
