Abstract
This project uses the case of the Corona pandemic to investigate the role of the social sciences in managing public health threats. The expected key results of this project are a deep understanding of sociological and epistemological inhibitors for interdisciplinary knowledge integration in this context and strategic starting points for improvement of the status quo. The project output will not only explore uncharted territory in integrated science studies but will also foster better informed and more balanced future policy-making for society as a whole.
