Abstract
Black men have the highest mortality for all cancers combined, yet they are underrepresented in research studies. Since the pandemic, more than 60 COVID-19-focused research studies have been initiated at Wayne State University in Detroit across basic and behavioral/social sciences as well as clinical trials. However, the majority of these have not included substantive community stakeholder input. The enhancement to this project aims to develop a COVID-19 community-guided PCOR agenda and coordinate a community research review board to ensure transparency in research that enrolls community members and introduces a system to integrate community interests.
