Abstract

COVID-19 is upending treatment and services for people with substance use disorders. This project's enhancement will identify the outcomes from treatment and recovery services that matter most to people in recovery from substance use disorders during the COVID-19 pandemic. The information gleaned may help to influence current practice and develop research questions to help ensure pandemic-related changes in the health system achieve those outcomes for future pandemics. The enhancement will incorporate the voices of people with substance use disorders directly affected by COVID-19. It will also focus extensively on the shift to virtual or remote services and the potential implications on the outcomes that matter most to people seeking those services.
