Abstract

In the project applied for, an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) test platform is to be developed that detects antibodies that infected people have formed as a reaction of the immune system due to contact with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. This test should be more sophisticated and reliable than the antibody tests currently available on the market with their known problems (lack of specificity and sensitivity). The antibody detection is to be applied first to around 5000 people who work in the medical and nursing professions in Vorarlberg.
