Abstract

Project description A disturbed grieving process can limit professional functioning. This also applies to professionals in training who do an internship. They are suddenly confronted with several deaths per week of residents they care for during corona time. Approach In this project social workers and MBO enter into a partnership in the field of grief. We are examining what we can learn from the training for carers of the elderly with a view to preventing disturbed grief. To this end, in this project we will analyze the experiences of three directly involved groups; namely students, study career counselors and internship supervisors. This analysis is aimed at identifying factors that influence the personal capacity and professional functioning after the crisis situation. This knowledge leads to a report and advice to involved parties (including national ones) in line with current and possibly subsequent crisis situations.
