Abstract
To date, only anecdotal cases of COVID-19 have been described in HIV-infected people. This supports the hypothesis that antiretroviral drugs might have some protective effect against SARS-CoV-2 infection. In order to have reliable information about the incidence of symptomatic or asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection, we intend to carry out a retrospective study within the scope of the Cohort of the Spanish AIDS Research Network (CoRIS). Objectives: (i) describe the frequency and epidemiological and clinical characteristics of patients with COVID-19 in CoRIS, as well as the prognostic factors for the requirement of intensive care, use of mechanical ventilation, length of stay and mortality; and (ii) Study the prevalence of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 by determining IgG and IgM antibodies by ELISA
