Abstract
The control of SARS-CoV-2 infection is based on the development of an effective immune response against the virus and on the appearance and maintenance of memory T lymphocytes that can be activated if the virus reappears. The generation of memory T lymphocytes is also necessary to ensure the efficacy of vaccination strategies. Using cellular techniques (ELISPOT, flow cytometry) we will study the characteristics of the immune response in patients who have resolved the infection, regardless of its clinical manifestations. In addition, we will analyze the evolution of the infection and the immune response in patients with chronic inflammatory diseases to study whether the immunosuppressive treatments (biological or pharmacological) could have had any positive or negative impact on the course of the infection and on the establishment of immunological memory.
