Abstract

Project summary Recently, interest in the analysis of molecular samples has increased dramatically. Metamaterials are periodic and artificial structures, which can be used as bio-sensors exploiting microfluidic technology. This project proposes the design of a novel MMB (Microfluidic Metamaterial Biosensor) using a mid-infrared technique for the rapid and accurate detection of novel coronaviruses (2019-nCov) in patient blood samples.
