Abstract

Vaccination against COVID-19 is underway globally. However, even as the virus is controlled by vaccination, it will be very difficult to eliminate COVID-19 completely, and we will need additional vaccine doses to boost protection against current and variant strains. I will use mathematical models to estimate the health benefit of COVID-19 vaccines, and to inform policy planning for longer-term, sustainable COVID-19 vaccine programs in Australia and regionally.
