Abstract
SARS-CoV-2 infection can result in acute lung injury and pulmonary fibrosis. The treatment of patients with pulmonary fibrosis is expensive and limited. Therefore, it is important to develop a cheaper and more accessible treatment. To this end, we are developing a decellularized extracellular matrix hydrogel produced from porcine lungs and testing its protective effect in cellular and animal models of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
