Abstract
Passive immunotherapy with plasma of convalescent individuals was described in the treatment of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) infection in 2016 (11) and may perhaps be used in COVID-19 infection (12). In this study, we intend to screen donors weekly for anti SARS-CoV-2 and evaluate the possibility of producing hyperimmune serum from plasma routinely collected by the donor. Highly titled donors will routinely be called to donate through apheresis. The weekly data on the prevalence of seropositive donors will also be used to infer the evolution of the epidemic in our city and in mathematical models that they can.
