Abstract

A research project that brings together researchers from Brazil (USP), Chile, Argentina and Spain and has as its main objective to build a map of the COVID-19 Pandemic, based on the Communication and Society articulation, based on the following axes: 1) Biology: possibilities and limits, 2) Advertising and brands in the context of Covid-19, 3) Social hatred (aggression, violence, polarizations...), 4) Material culture of isolation, 5) Government communication, 6) Public x implications private, 7) Aesthetics of death (concealing and showing) and 8) The senses and meanings of confinement (violence against women, against children, increased alcoholism, obesity, consumption of sex apps, chaos...). The results will serve as a contextual and analytical foundation for numerous other research projects, decisions in the scope of public and private communication, definition of aesthetic strategies in the scope of Communication at the interface with Social Sciences, subsidy for journalistic content and materials, foundation for the development of products and services, among other applications and developments in teaching and extension.
