Abstract
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Health Professionals' Mental Health. The SARS-COV2 pandemic is an unprecedented event that will have profound repercussions in our society. One of the sectors that will be most affected is the area of Health and Medicine, considering not only those who directly fall ill, but also the health professionals involved in the front line of combating the new coronavirus and who will eventually be contaminated by it. In this sense, since April 1, 2020, we inaugurated a program for health professionals at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of USP, with actions to promote health, prevent and treat reactions to stress and mental disorders. This is COMVC-19, based on the assistance, teaching and research tripod that characterizes the excellence of our institution. COMVC-19 will monitor the mental health of the 20 thousand employees of the HC-FMUSP complex, as well as risk and protection factors, periodically and actively, through an online platform. This proposal aims to expand the COMVC-19 to the rest of the country, through an application specially developed for Health professionals and a hotline (phone service 12 hours a day 7 days a week) for public health professionals in cities from Belo Horizonte and São Paulo, which are at the forefront of care for people with COVID-19 and who may have greater difficulty in accessing a Mental Health professional. In addition, an important component of the Program aims at its scaling up and replication in other regions of the country. For this we will give consultation for the creation, implementation and execution of COMVC-19 Programs in other Health Institutions in Brazil.
