Abstract

A study will be developed to map the sites visited in the 28 days before and 28 days after the onset of symptoms in reported cases of COVID-19. After patients' authorization, information from smartphones will be obtained and will allow a better understanding of the transmission dynamics. All information obtained in the survey will be guaranteed absolute secrecy and only the coordinates of the locations and identification code will remain in the database. The objective is to evaluate the transmission dynamics of SARS-CoV-2, using GPS data from the cell phone of patients with this infection. The secondary objectives are: to assess whether there is transmission during the incubation period, the transmission time of symptomatic patients with COVID-19 SARS-CoV and assess for "superspreaders". This is a descriptive observational study. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 and those with an Android operating system cell phone during the period of the epidemic in São Paulo will be included.
