Abstract

Emerging evidence from the UK and US indicates that those with ethnic minority backgrounds will be hardest hit by the short and longer-term health and economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. The reasons for and effective responses to this have yet to be effectively established. Moreover, specific needs and interventions are likely to vary by local context. The research will document the specific impact on BAME populations during the pandemic and its associated lock-down in Bristol and the South West.
