Abstract

Since the foundation of the brilliant lighting company in 1896 in Budapest, and the Tungsram and the "T" trademark registration in 1909, innovation and heritage became inseparable. Recently the resilient and smart corporate picked up the glove and fights COVID-19! #Tungsram now presents a peek into to the very near future with its new, innovative UV sanitizer box that is coming to the market in a few weeks to kill off all germs on objects. It can be used in healthcare, public institutions or even in your home! UV light technology is one of the most effective and trending tools right now to eradicate the new coronavirus and in fact all other viruses and bacteria. UV-C photochemically destroys the genetic makeup (DNA) of microorganisms via absorption of UV light. It shuts down the organism's metabolic and reproductive processes, thereby debilitating it and rendering it no longer pathogenic. And it does this without creating harmful byproducts.
