Abstract

A majorty of cantons in Switzerland and the Fürstentum Liechtenstein have introduced the application Surveillance, Outbreak Response Management and Analysis System (SORMAS) in the course of 2020 in the frame of control measures against the Covid-19 pandemic. SORMAS allows for a structured management and surveillance of the Cocvid-19 pandemic, namely of infected cases and their contacts. SORMAS has been developed by the Helmholtz-Zentrum für Infektionsforschung (HZI) in Braunschweig, Germany as a reaction of the Ebola outbreack in West Africa in 2014. Swiss TPH has planned and implemented in 2020 several training session for users of SORMAS at cantonal level and further assisted the technical configuration of SORMAS to the Swiss context. Further contributions to the French and Italian translation of SORMAS were made
