Abstract

More than 200,000 people have persistent complaints after a COVID-19 infection. They rely heavily on restorative care, but it is unknown whether this leads to faster healing. Goal In the PINCOR project we investigate the effect of person-oriented, integrated aftercare for COVID-19 within a regional network. Method Together with the GP, the patient determines treatment goals aimed at better functioning at home and in society. Depending on the severity of the complaints, the patient is guided by the general practice, supplemented with paramedical care (for example physiotherapy) or specialized rehabilitation care. Experiences of healthcare providers and patients are examined when designing the best approach. The patient keeps a digital diary to measure the course during and after treatment. The aim of the treatment is to increase the quality of life and participation in society and to reduce absenteeism and healthcare costs. Patient organizations and C-support are involved in the research.
