Young & More Wageningen

In Wageningen, 11 groups of young people participated in Perspective for Youth. They attended workshops in which they thought about how they wanted to contribute to Wageningen society. The guidance provided by Thuis Wageningen and Change Makers Wageningen was tailor-made: each group looked at what was needed. An International Transition Class brightened up a schoolyard with homemade birdhouses, a group of students cooked for the elderly, a European Football Championship for children was organised, money was raised for the fight against Covid in India, and attention was drawn to setting boundaries regarding sexuality. Participants found it very valuable to do something for others and to organize it all themselves. They have learned to plan, work together and make new contacts. And they learned a lot about their talents and what they liked. An organizer of the Kids European Championships: 'It's great to see the children so happy and enthusiastic.
