Abstract

As part of surveillance, there is a need for statistical modelling of communicable diseases (especially Covid-19). The FOPH has commissioned the Institute for Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM) at the University of Bern to carry out the necessary statistical modelling and to advise the FOPH on methodological issues. This includes in particular the analysis of excess mortality and the (retrospective) analysis of Covid-19 monitoring in Switzerland.
