Abstract

The outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, which began in Wuhan at the end of 2019, affects the global economy, both directly (effects of human illness) and indirectly (national measures to limit the spread of the virus). The measures taken by countries to mitigate the economic effects of COVID-19 restrictions have been quite varied, but so far, there is no analysis of which measures have been most effective and which are the best options for economic recovery and preparation for a new wave of viruses. The aim of the study is to obtain up-to-date and high-quality information on the short- and long-term impact of the mitigation measures developed to alleviate the viral crisis, which can be used for policy decisions. In addition to quality, speed and the willingness of the project team to advise national representatives on an ongoing basis are critical to this study.
