Abstract
The goal of the project is be to investigate to what extent is it possible to adapt an influenza-like-illnesses (ILI) model that makes predictions based on Google search frequencies to other infectious diseases on the example of COVID-19. The scope would also include verifying what data sources could enhance the performance of the source model and the transfer pipeline, as well as investigating how to enable the models to account for the increased online search activity caused by the public's concern about a disease.
