Abstract
The corona measures, such as Lockdowns, have reduced the circulation of non-Corona airway infections. Air trace infections have been associated with the development of neurological autoimmune diseases, such as narcolepsy, multiple sclerosis and Guillain-Barré syndrome. The LUMC, Amsterdam UMC and Sleep-Waakcentrum Sein will investigate whether the corona measures have reduced the number of new patients with these autoimmune diseases. The social effects of the corona measures on these patient groups are also evaluated. This research provides insights into disease mechanisms and supports policy during possible future pandemies.
