Abstract

The COVID-19 Pandemie led to life-threatening drug shortages and thus brought renewed attention to the importance of medicine availability. This pandemic exposed vulnerabilities in the Dutch pharmaceutical supply chain (FSC) that are strongly influenced by regulations, price strategies and the organization of the supply chain. To be better prepared for a pandemic in the future, the European Partnership for Pandemic Preparedness recommends tackling the core problems in the FSC.
