Abstract

During a pandemic, a rapid evaluation of possible medicines to be able to treat infected patients is necessary. During the COVID-19 Pandemie, pre-clinical studies were conducted worldwide to identify possible medicines with activity against SARS-COV-2. In many cases, no clinical effect has been found for a large number of medicines. The cause for this may be in a lack of translation of experimental findings into people and/or by testing unsuitable doses.
