Abstract
Main aim of our project, "Citizen engagement during the Covid-19 epidemic" is to support the principles of democracy, cooperation, common values in a changing Europe through active local and regional involvement at national and supranational level. Another objective is to raise awareness of our common history, to discuss our present and to plan our future at international level in the EU and Solidarity and problem-solving during an epidemic situation. Getting lost in the flood of propaganda and misinformation - we organise a panel discussion on how to prevent the spread of misinformation. The event is traditionally organized every year around different topics. Hence our community and citizens of our twin cities may profoundly understand the positive aspects, advantages of the EU. An important element is to increase knowledge about the EU, to promote communication between generations and nations, and to strengthen tolerance and solidarity in the long term. We will also look at the impact of the Covid19 pandemic on everyday life within local communities and on the functioning of communities and forms of civic engagement during the Covid19 crisis. The project presents the process of successful cooperation with our twin partners It brings together citizens of all ages and walks of life to understand each other's social and political problems, discuss how the EU and local NGOs have helped to solve the Covid situation, how the epidemic has affected local communities, and encourage solidarity and volunteering. We underline wide-ranging publication in all the participating countries within the implementation process of the project, so that the results of the project will indirectly affect as many people as possible. The project will be attended by 172 visitors from Hungary from 3 partners, 40 from Romania. Together with local citizens there will be 2712 European citizens directly involved to the project. Indirectly project affects up to 10 000 people
