Abstract
The REAMA Reloaded project aims to strengthen the capacity of the Italian anti-violence REAMA Network (www.reamanetwork.org) at national level to provide timely and adequate support to women victims of violence, especially domestic violence, and their children who have witnessed the violence perpetrated, by increasing the cooperation within the network as well as with key stakeholders (e.g., municipalities, healthcare services, social workers, law enforcement and judicial professionals, CSOs, schools, entrepreneurs, etc.). Activities will be implemented both at central/national level, by reinforcing the REAMA Network and all its affiliated entities, and at local level, focusing on 8 regions of Central and Southern Italy, i.e. Toscana, Umbria, Lazio, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily. More specifically, the project will: - Strengthen and improve the national REAMA online helpline, by increasing the competences of operators in receiving and managing instances of domestic violence and GBVAW through digital and remote tools; - Set up the REAMA database as a repository to collect systematised data on instances of GBVAW and children witnesses of violence, to spot strategies and responses adopted and fill the response gaps at local/regional level; - Develop a study on the legacy of covid-19 on violence against women and their children in Italy, also in the long-term, and the responses that the system has been provided to support them; - Create a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate the access of women victims of violence to the labour market; - Implement response activities in territories in Central/Southern to enhance the support services available therein. The project aims to support ±900 women (online, centrally, and F2F, locally), build the capacity of ±130 operators and key stakeholders on GBVAW response and raise the awareness of ±1300 people among students, key stakeholders in the public and private sectors, policy makers.
