Abstract

The aim of the project is to connect citizens from the partner municipalities in a public event in difficult times of the coronavirus. Strengthening the partnership and the role of the European Union among citizens will be the themes of the event. The coronavirus pandemic has caused that citizens lost possibility to travel and meet within a couple of days. Thus, the existing friendships were chilled as well as the partnership. Implementing mutual project, which will enable the meeting of all partnership in one place, is the only positive and hopeful thing. The project will support participation of the partners from countries as: Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Croatia. The aim is to restart the chilled relationships and make new ones. Presenting the cultural richness of the individual nations will help such aim. Culture as an element of identities of nations is a bond which may overcome any barriers. Therefore, it will play a significant role within the project, as the partners and citizens, they represent, come from various areas and environments. Differences among countries are considerable and that is why, certain mistrust exists. The project will serve therefore as a bridge among nations and as an element for helping overcoming prejudices. Within the project, we plan to create discriminative-free space. With a help of culture, we want to overcome any barriers, prejudices, marginalization and gender inequality. The European Union will also be supportive, mainly to culture. It represents an element of connection of the present nations. Within the project, it will be presented from viewpoints of its values and contributions. Citizens will participate in a discussion about its future and in programmes of discovering the EU, set for the young and seniors. Involving culture and the EU in the project may help with creating new friendships and thus strengthening the partnership from the inside.
