Abstract
VOICE is a project reflecting on the impact of the COVID-19 in 7 European countries: Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Spain, Belgium and France involving 9 institutions. It is a project for institutions that want to build resilient communities across Europe for the post pandemic era. Voice targets young people, CSOs, educational authorities, local governments and families. The process of building democratic and resilient societies of the future has to involve young peole whose voice must be heard. The participation of the young people to the decision making for the future of their communities and of the EU partners cannot take place unless obstacles that the COVID-19 pandemic have both created and worsened are removed. Partners have identified 4 issues: mental health problems, educational poverty, unhealthy habits, unemployment to research the best existing practices to generate a list of recommendations for the partnership. The workplan consists of 7 international meetings in Italy, Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria, Spain, Belgium, 6 local activities with local partners consisting of benchmarking research, collection of best practices, 6 pilot actions, 6 local valorization events, communications and dissemination actions across the EU. The communication and dissemination of the project is reinforced by the networks of the partners and by ALDA and ACR+, and the Europe Direct offices. Voice relies on associated partners endorsing and supporting the beneficiaries. 462 Participants are estimated to attend the international meetings, 120 young people involved in the pilot actions, 40 experts participanting in the research, 80 participants to the local valorization events, 1 webinar, 1 webpage, 1 video, 1 blog to youth, 50.000 people reached by the communication activities, 100 institutions reached by the dissemination, 2.500 indirect participants.
