Abstract
The European Women's Lobby (EWL) is the largest umbrella organisation in Europe, bringing together more than 2,000 women's associations. For more than 30 years, EWL has been at the forefront, setting the agenda for gender equality and women's rights in Europe; introducing decision-makers at national and EU level to a feminist dimension and a women's perspective on many topics, including gender mainstreaming and budgeting, feminist economics, the continuum of violence against women, sexual exploitation, Sexual Reproductive and Health Rights, and digitalisation. EWL's objectives for 2023 will be: 1. Implementation, monitoring and evaluation processes for EWL's strategic framework 2. Strengthen internal capacity, cooperation and ways of working 3. Advocate for the implementation and monitoring of the EU Strategy on Gender Equality 4. Advocate for the inclusion of gender mainstreaming and gender budgeting in the EU budgets and recovery funds 5. Build on EWL's Purple Pact, developing recommendations and advocating for a "Care Deal for Europe" 6. Advocate for the swift adoption of the Pay Transparency Directive 7. Advocate for a swift adoption and implementation of the Proposal for a Directive on combatting violence against women and domestic violence and the EU Accession to the Istanbul Convention 8. Resource the delivery of the Work Programme meeting our financial resilience and sustainability goals 9. Improvement of diversity and inclusion in EWL communication As a result, we expect to have: influenced decision-makers on women's rights and ensured EWL's recommendations on combatting Violence Against Women and Girls, on gender budgeting, mainstreaming and equality; the impacts of COVID-19 on women; strengthened members' engagement and development and external partnerships; achieved Financial Resilience and Sustainability targets; developed implementation, monitoring and evaluation process for the Strategic Framework
