Abstract
The aim of the project is to implement professional activities in the field of common tourism, cultural heritage, and awareness-raising in the Municipality of Levél. The applicant has a long-term professional experience in agricultural development, tourism, and environmental protection. There is a strong tendency to develop a healthy lifestyle in the municipality and to educate people to choose a healthy lifestyle, which is also a priority theme in the life of the twin municipalities. Thanks to the transfer of knowledge, cooperation between municipalities will be strengthened in becoming a "healthy village". We organize our Town-Twinning project around the traditional "Meeting of historical Agricultural Machines - Veteran Tractors and Family Day". The Municipality of Levél has launched the event 13 years ago, bringing together agricultural professionals, NGOs, and local authorities with our project partners from Slovakia and Austria. Our objective is to familiarize citizens and members of organizations in the participating municipalities with each other's activities, experiences from the recent years, the positive aspects, and benefits of the EU, and to teach them how to be involved in the decision-making process and how to use the opportunities offered by the EU. An important goal is to discuss topics related to current situation and the future of the EU, to foster communication between different generations and nations, and to strengthen a long-term spirit of tolerance. We also focus on the upcoming 2024 EP and municipal elections, as well as on the analysis of the impact and measures of the Covid-19 pandemic. Events will include discussion forums, presentations, and examples of best practice, focusing on healthy lifestyles and related topics linked to food, agriculture, wine, and small-scale farming. We will focus on taking great care and bringing together people of different ages and social groups and involving disadvantaged citizens in the implementation.
