Abstract
We are planning to establish an electronic reporting system for communicable diseases in Slovenia from medical doctors and microbiology laboratories to the Nacional Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) within the infrastructure of eHealth and Central Registry of Patient Data, similarly as for COVID-19. Additionally, we are planning to develop an electronic data management system for integration of clinical, laboratory and epidemiological data at NIJZ for rapid data analysis and outbreak detection. This system will provide the epidemiological service of NIJZ with the necessary data for case and outbreak management and response. This system will be a source of data on communicable diseases for national surveillance systems and the provision of data to other stakeholders, including EU epidemiological surveillance systems.
