Abstract

A reduction in maternal and newborn deaths and stillbirths in the Asia-Pacific region is urgently needed. Midwives can save lives; there are, however, significant gaps in the knowledge-base about how best to strengthen midwifery. This Investigator Grant will support primary research across the region to improve maternal and newborn health post COVID-19. The outcomes will ensure that maternal and newborn health services can withstand future shocks such as pandemics and natural disasters.
