Abstract

In order to detect a new wave of COVID at an early stage and locally, the SARS-CoV-2 early warning monitoring system based on wastewater analysis is being developed by the University of Tartu. It includes includes regular baseline monitoring in all Estonian county centers and cities with more than 10,000 inhabitants; risk monitoring at up to 70 of the most critical sites. It also includes accurate monitoring of the positive signal in the event of a significant deviation from the baseline.
