Abstract
It is expected that the pandemic had a negative impact on the mental health of all Canadians, regardless of whether they were infected with COVID-19. The objective of this study is to assess how the mental health of older Canadians was affected by the first two waves of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially for those with lower levels of education or income and more health problems, as well as those who had some challenges accessing healthcare and who live in more disadvantaged neighbourhoods. To address these objectives, we will use various advanced statistical techniques for data collected across time and across different geographic areas.
