Abstract

The most recent pandemic, COVID-19, highlighted how under prepared we are against emerging and reemerging viruses. The control of such viruses demands both novel drug discovery and vaccine development programs. This investigator award tackles clinically-significant viruses that have major health burden, in the context of morbidity, mortality and economic impact. The major outcome of this award will be the delivery of novel antiviral drug candidates that will reduce this health burden.
