Millions of people worldwide are infected by gonorrhoea each year. Infection can be severe, and can lead to infertility.less thanbrgreater thanUnfortunately, infection rates are increasing and we are fast losing effective treatments due to the development ofless thanbrgreater thanantimicrobial resistance. This project will develop new ways to manage gonorrhoea, including developing new rapidless thanbrgreater thandetection methods and validating Covid-19 style tracking via genomic methods to improve detection and treatment ofless thanbrgreater thancases and sexual contacts.
